How to Make Price Tag Labels

Create price tag labels online with Labeliy — add product name, price, and barcode, then print hundreds of tags in one go. Free, no software.

Price tags tell customers what a product costs and what it is. With Labeliy, you design one price tag, add your product list, and print hundreds of tags in one go.

What You'll Need#

  • A printer (inkjet or laser)
  • Label sheets — Avery 5160 (30 per sheet) for small price tags, or Avery 5163 (10 per sheet) for larger tags
  • Your product list with names and prices (you can type it in or use a spreadsheet)

Step 1 — Choose Your Sheet#

  1. Open labeliy.com/label-maker
  2. In the Choose your label setup window, keep Label Sheet selected
  3. Search for Avery 5160 (or your sheet) and click the result
  4. Click Start Designing

Step 2 — Add Your Elements#

Use the toolbar to build your tag:

  1. Click Text, then click the canvas — type your product name
  2. Click Text again for the price
  3. Click Barcode to add a scannable barcode

Step 3 — Make Your Fields Dynamic#

Select the product name text, turn on Dynamic Data in the properties panel, and set its Column Name to product_name. Repeat for price (price) and the barcode (barcode). See Making an Element Dynamic.

Step 4 — Add Your Products#

Click Add Data in the top bar. Fill in one row per product:

Step 5 — Print#

Click Print. In the print dialog, set Scale to 100% and Margins to None, then print.

Tips for Better Price Tags#

Use a consistent format for prices. Format all your prices the same way (always $19.99, never mix $19.99 and 19.99) so they look uniform.

Print a test page first. Print one sheet on plain paper and hold it up to your label sheet against a light to check alignment before printing on real labels.

Add your store logo. Click Image in the toolbar to upload your logo, then drag it to a corner of the label.

Set quantity for items you have many of. If you have 50 units of one product, set its row's Quantity to 50 to print 50 identical tags.
