Printing Your Labels
How to print labels from Labeliy — get the right browser print settings so your labels line up perfectly on any sheet, thermal roll, or custom size.
When your design and data are ready, click Print in the top bar. Labeliy creates a PDF with all your labels arranged on the sheet grid and opens your browser's print dialog.
Print Settings That Matter#
Getting these settings right is the difference between perfectly aligned labels and wasted sheets.

The #1 cause of misaligned labels is scale not set to 100%. Browsers default to "Fit to page," which shrinks the PDF just enough to throw off the alignment. Always check this first.
Preview Before You Print#
Click Preview in the top bar to open a PDF preview without triggering the print dialog. Use it to check your layout and data before printing on real labels.
How Many Pages Will It Print?#
Labeliy counts every label (including quantities set in your data table) and divides by how many labels fit on your sheet.
Example: 35 labels on an Avery 5160 (30 per sheet) = 2 pages. The second page has 5 labels and 25 blank spaces — that's correct.
Printing on a Thermal Printer#
If your setup uses a thermal label size, Labeliy generates one PDF page per label — the format thermal printers expect. Common sizes:
- 4" × 6" — standard shipping label (FedEx, UPS, USPS style)
- 2" × 1" — small product or price label
- 4" × 2" — medium product label
Troubleshooting — Labels Printing in the Wrong Position#
If your labels don't line up with the sheet:
1. Check the scale setting first. It must be exactly 100%. This fixes the problem 90% of the time.
2. Turn off headers and footers. Your browser might be adding a URL or page number to the top or bottom, shifting everything down. Look for "Headers and Footers" in print options and turn it off.
3. Check you selected the right sheet. Make sure the sheet shown in the top bar matches the actual sheet loaded in your printer tray.
4. Do a plain paper test first. Print one page on plain white paper, then hold it up against your label sheet in front of a window. You'll see immediately if the alignment is off before using real labels.
